I’m Tasnim and I tell stories.

I write for stage and screen, and I direct plays.

I co-created and co-wrote the webseries Carpark Clubbing for ABC iView, winner of Best in Writing at Stareable Fest and Best Ensemble at Die Seriale.

I wrote the monologues Hope and Wisdom for ABC Radio National Fictions’ Untrue Romance, and Delivery for Playwriting Australia’s Dear Australia project. I also directed Yellow Face at Kings Cross Theatre.

I am currently under commission with Nautanki Theatre Company and am writing the book for a new musical as a co-recipient of the inaugural Create NSW Musical Theatre Fellowship with Hayes Theatre Company.

I also work with other writers as a dramaturg for theatre and as a story developer for films and television.

I have worked as an assistant director with Sydney Theatre Company, have been a Griffin Theatre Studio Artist, and was mentored in dramaturgy and literary management through Melbourne Theatre Company’s Women in Theatre.

I am a current Australia Council of the Arts Future Leader and serve on the board of the Australian Theatre for Young People.
